TSC creates trauma-informed outdoor spaces and experiences that help foster families heal, connect, and belong — through the power of nature and community.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We envision communities where the space around foster care is transformed — through awareness, understanding, hands-on support,

Guiding Principles
Everything we do grows out of four guiding principles that shape how we design spaces, serve families, and build community around foster care.
Place Matters
Where things happen matters, but it’s often minimized. Foster families rarely have outdoor spaces designed for their unique needs. Spaces may exist, but they’re often unusable or inaccessible. TSC transforms these places into environments for healing, play, and community.
Nature Heals
Nature heals in quiet, powerful ways — especially for those who’ve experienced trauma. Time outside helps calm the body, steady emotions, and rebuild trust. TSC creates simple, consistent ways for foster families to experience nature’s restorative power.
Community Sustains
Foster families often feel isolated, yet true community is essential as they navigate the realities of foster care. Many people want to help but don’t know how. TSC bridges that gap by creating simple, meaningful ways for communities to show up and support families.
Love Transforms
Radical love doesn’t always make sense at first, but it changes everyone. When love leads, both those being served and those serving are changed — we build deeper connections, healing grows, and communities are transformed.

Tire Swing Collective has partnered with more than 190 volunteers and 25 businesses to help provide meaningful outdoor spaces and experiences for over 60 foster families in the Atlanta area:
Giving children in foster care greater access to outdoor places where they can breathe, play, and simply be kids
Providing caregivers with spaces to unwind, recharge, and reconnect
Creating shared environments that bring the foster care community together
Engaging volunteers, neighbors, churches, and businesses in hands-on service that strengthens families
